First blog post in awhile.

So I've been killing myself the past five days, losing six pounds from EXTREME workouts, and I've switched to the caveman diet +1 so that might have helped. And now onto the blog!

Batman: Arkham Asylum is one of my most anticipated games of the year. Confirmed characters are Harley Quinn, Killer Croc and Zsasz. Poison Ivy is also a possibility. The game will feature context sensitive melee combat (Oh look a wall, I'm going to smash your head in it.) against upto twenty goons and STEALTH~! Man I love my stealth gameplay, so if Rocksteady Studios can nail that down, I'll be doing cartwheels(P90X EXTREME MOTHAFUCKING CARTWHEELS).

Spore: Galactic Adventures comes out in march. Spore was my most anticiapted game of 2008, and while fun, was an incredibly big dissapointment in terms of stuff to do, and difficulty to challenge myself. Apparently the difficulty was patched shortly after release and the newest expansion solves the problem of not having stuff to do with user created scenarios and custom planet creation. You can now have your GTA: SPORE like you've always wanted as the new content gives you more offensive weaponry to attach to yourself when you beam down onto planets. Beating up space hookers is way better then human hookers, but sadly there is no baseball bat weapon :(.

This Providence have announced their newest full length album Who Are You Now, and also released That Girl's A Trick, a new track on their myspace. I'm a big fan of this providence, as they have always constantly released great music and continuously improved on their already fantastic musical style. Eight bucks to pre-order, so thats five thousand dollars Canadian, right?

Track listing ahoy!

I wish my life was on Youtube

I wish my life was on Youtube, It would be the funniest depressing rick roll in the world.

Batman in 2011? That's right before we all die! "Uslan will be onboard as executive producer for the "Dark Knight" sequel, which he estimates will be theaters by 2011. As for the identity of the next round of Batman's supervillains and love interests, Uslan remains tight-lipped. "It's one of those deals where if I told you, I'd have to kill you," he says with a chuckle." You jerk. SOMEONE GET ME THIS BASTARDS ADDRESS.

Where are the good movies? Gran Torino seems to be the only great release this year(mall cop was not great, just a pleasant surprise). Coraline and pink panther 2 look interesting, but only because Steve Martin is magical.

Ok that's enough for today, this all seems forced haha

Beat.

I just completed the story mode of mirrors edge and that's all I will play of it.
But that's not a bad thing at all, as I thoroughly enjoyed this game and all the innovative ideas it put to great use. The first person camera is what makes this game an "immersive" (OMG BAD REVIEWER TERMINOLOGY) experience you can't get anywhere else. Jumping from building tops at full speed really is great fun, and the game doesn't overstay its welcome with the perfect length of about 6-8 hours depending of your skill.

Mirror's edge has been labeled as frustrative trial and error by many game journalists, but I really don't see the frustration. Platforming sections are concentrated and checkpoints are plentiful, so if you mess up, you can say " Oh crap I did something wrong! Let me not do that again while having fun traversing the cityscape while escaping these political soldiers carrying large weaponry!".

Combat is also very fun, with a large array of melee attacks that animate well and do a maginifcent job at kicking ass. Yes the gunplay is somewhat lacking, but it plays with the storyline of " You are a Courier, not masterchief".

When you are done the single player, you can complete time trials in levels you have already played to accomplish acchievements or trophys depending on your platform, and compare with other xbox lives/ PSN users.

Its a buy if you can get mileage from the time trials, or a definite rent if the story mode is all you are interested in. Just play this game.
